sue malloy said they’re gonna send us a booklist sometime early august. haven’t received any email updates from them yet

are you guys planning on getting your scrubs/stethoscope/shoes now - since labs are stated as online - or just waiting until clinicals roll around/are confirmed?

It said in the email to wait until the first few weeks of school to purchase those items so that’s what I’m planning on doing!

Hi! The meeting was definitely more geared towards non-first semester students. Takeaways that I found relevant were that our 6 week gerontology clinicals have been moved to a different (unknown) time during the semester, and that we will need to get Covid testing prior to clinicals. Sounds like they will be giving us all of the information we need during our orientation on the 17th!

Hi everyone!

Is anybody planning on buying the physical texts that come with the Lippincott Coursepoints?

Is it 4 texts from Wolters Kluwer, and then the Pharmacology text?

Does anybody know if the pharm text needs an online access code also based on the booklist? Or is it a text we can just rent/buy off another website?

I'm sure they'll discuss it at the workshop but I'm just curious just in case for now. Thank you!

I emailed her to ask about the pharm text, since I prefer a hard copy, and she said that would be fine, so I don’t think that there is an online access code for that one. I bought mine through Amazon.

I still need to buy the other ones! It’s a little confusing, right?

I purchased the pharm text and publication manual on there. I think the whole Lippincott Coursepoint for each text includes all the virtual sim labs they're asking for, so I'm hoping that'll be it for the cost on books/programs this semester. I was able to add all my books into my online cart, but I'm still debating on whether or not I should get the loose-leaf version of each text for $50 a piece. It's about $790 total including the loose-leaf versions!
