SJSU FALL 2020

Hi everyone! I am creating this for those of you who are planning to apply for the fall 2020 SJSU nursing program. I am super excited for this journey and curious as to what the applicant pool looks like! Feel free to share your GPA and TEAS and good luck to everyone! ?

Big 5 GPA: 3.79

TEAS: 91.3

Impaction Score: 6.84

I haven’t completed my CPR already but I’m hoping to get it done sometime this month. Last time I checked, there were quite a few openings offering in person+online, sort of like a hybrid class.

Yeah! I’ve done those hybrid classes before. I’m getting my drug test completed today, still need to do physical/ upload immunizations.

That's true, it is a good thing we have this platform to help each other out! ? And I'm really glad our cohort wasn't postponed, it will be nice to actually have something to do during this lockdown ?

There are some AHA-associated classes that are still doing in-person classes! However, it’ll be a less amount of people taking it to accommodate distancing protocols. Check the AHA website!

Is anybody else’s registration date on June 16th? My orientation isn’t until the 23rd, but I might just register early beforehand to see if I can get my desired schedule and change it if it comes to it at orientation.

I just checked today, mine is June 15th!

My registration is also the 16th, and my orientation is the 23rd. How are you guys picking your sections??

I'm not sure how to pick sections cos some them have an instructor, some labeled staff, and date/time mostly TBD LOL

Are any other transfers having trouble enrolling in the classes? I was able to get into the gerontology lab and lecture, but the other ones say that I haven’t completed the prerequisites. I asked registrar and they said it’s because my transfer credits haven’t posted to the system yet. I’m worried that I won’t be able to get the times I want now. Just me?

I’m not having any trouble. I was able to enroll in my classes right away. I wouldn’t worry about not getting the times you want because the only ones with times are 13b & 100we and they seem to have all the same times, with the exception of one being TBA.

They ended up sending me permission numbers that allowed me to enroll. Not sure why that happened. I mainly just wanted to avoid the 8 am lab if possible

Aw they’re all 7am-1:30 pm unfortunately!! But I don’t think we’ll be doing it every week due to Covid

Oh I meant the “health assessment & skills lab”!

Yes should be interesting to see what happens with our clinical!
