SJSU Fall 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello everyone!

I was looking for a Fall 2018 thread but couldn't find one so I decided to make one. I thought it would be a great way to get to know each other and to know what this applicant pool would be like this semester. I'm so excited!

Big Five GPA - 4.0

TEAs - 92%

Impaction Score - 7.06

Good luck to everyone and nice to meet you all!

Hey guys! I got accepted too. Congrats to those accepted! To those who didn't, don't give up!

Congratulations everyone! I was accepted as well :-)

I was admitted to the nursing program and to the school... but I have a question about transcripts.

On my "To Do List", all it says is that I need to complete Intent to Enroll. Nothing else. Yet, apparently, work in progress partial transcripts are due by May 1 for transfer students according to the University Deadlines. Does this mean I should submit all transcripts still, even though it doesn't say that I have to on my to do list?

Also, how many students are in each cohort for the SON for fall? I couldn't seem to find this number on the website.

I sent transcripts back in January when I sent them to all the CSUs I applied to..never heard anything or saw anything on my portal saying they were received. I saw they were due May 1st so I resent them a few days ago and got a confirmation email from the school this time. So, I would send them now, just to be safe. As for cohort size, they admit 60 students each semester. :)

I'm in the same situation! I sent in all my transcripts in march and got notified from the schools I sent them from that they were sent out. However, I did not get an email from sjsu as @j_ssica mentioned. Help?

Also if you guys don't mind me asking, What are ur housing accommodations for this fall? I am coming from a different city so I've been looking for different housing options

I'm probably going to be looking for room/housemates! Would be cool to room with other nursing students in my cohort. I'll post on the FB page as the beginning of the semester nears/talk to some of you at orientation!

I got the confirmation that my partial transcripts had been accepted on my SJSU email and confirmation they had received them on my personal email, so try checking your SJSU email. My application status also changed once they were accepted. If not, I would contact admissions/the register and see if they have gotten them.

Anyone on the alternate list hear anything yet?

I got my acceptance email yesterday(May 2nd)! I cannot wait to meet everyone, I'm extremely excited because SJSU was one my top choices.

Congratulations! Were you on the wait list, and if so, do you know what position you were?

I believe I was towards the bottom of the list. I was extremely nervous because of this, but I was told that last year, because many people declined their admission or simply forget to pay their deposit, led to the department accepting everyone off the waitlist as well as accepting individuals who were denied. If you are still waiting to hear back, I'm sure you will get the good news soon! Best of luck!
