SJR State College 2015 Fall Hopefuls

Published

Hello I'm starting this thread to reach out to potential applicants to the nursing program at SJR State College. My GPA puts me in Category 2 and the application period begins tomorrow and I will be there bright and early to turn in my application 😁

I know for our summer I think classes are predominantly Wednesday with clinical rotations on some M/T and some R/F

That's what I was afraid of!! But we can do this!(: how much clinical time are we getting over the summer? And how much did you guys have this semester?

I feel like we aren't getting enough hands on experience in the field!!

Not sure how this summer will be but I know this semester and last semester we got 6 days / 8 hours a day

From what I've heard last semester is almost all clinical time so that'll be nice :) plus lots more experience and with all the knowledge

Specializes in LTC, Med Surg, Renal Care.

So how many classes are you guys allowed to take per semester? I'm planning on bridging in August and I'm trying to get as much info I can lol

We don't take many credit hours at all, but you definitely feel like a full time student with the amount of studying you have to do! This semester we are taking 2 classes (7 credits), and next semester we also are taking 2 classes (8 credits) and then in the fall we take 2 classes again and I believe that semester is 10 credits

Ya we take 2 classes each semester in the program , some of my classmates take other electives like Spanish to meet "full time " required by GI bill that they use but I only take the 2 classes each semester , that's plenty work alone lol idk how people can take more honestly , I would have no time to do it
