Hello fellow nurses!
I have had several false starts beginning NP programs over the past six years. It is not that I can't do these programs, but I get discouraged once I see how daunting it is obtaining preceptors for the clinical courses and I drop out.
This (and hopefully last) time around, I have chosen to attend Carson-Newman University's post-Master's FNP program because they have specifically stated during the application process that they find preceptors for their students with the exception of 32 hours for the first course, Advanced Health Assessment. I am planning to use a preceptor finding service to provide someone for these hours.
I start Fall 2021, which begins in a couple of weeks (mid-August 2021). My orientation webinar is this Thursday!
Anyone else starting at Carson-Newman in the MSN or post-MSN FNP program next month?
