at about 7:30am, i timidly booted up my computer to pull up the registered nurses listing...guess what???

i passed!!!!!!!!!!!

tons and tons of "thank you's" to all of you on this site who have supported me all along!!

it's been a huge haul for me and i do feel that all has paid off. all for 2 letters after my name. strange but true!

again, you know who you are---thank you soooo much!!!!!!!

Thanks LoveNursing1.

My tips? I took the complete Kaplan Program. QBank scores (mid 50s-60's). I exhausted my QBank. My content was weak. I was an Excelsior Grad (online LVN-RN program). I looked up what I needed to brush up on. (used Saunders and the Kaplan workbook) QTrainers were also 50's to 60's. By the end though, I was up to 70s-80s in QBank. As you can see, it wasn't an easy road for me.

Understanding the rationales, good basic understanding of diseases (triggers, causes, signs/symptoms, treatment, side effects, etc.) and what the questions are asking and the ability to see the strategy behind the question (what the question is really testing you on!) AND, how to prepare yourself for a stressful exam (mentally psyching yourself to be ready to focus in!) seemed to me most important.

Sorry if this sounds like a lot, or too generalized. Feel free to email me privately if you'd like more information. If I can do it and pass, so can YOU! The very best to you! ;)
