Casa Loma's credits are non-transferrable. The LVN licensure is transferrable, and will enable you to bypass the first year of most RN programs that offer an LVN transition option, but the actual credits earned from Casa Loma will not transfer. The same situation applies to most LVN trade schools that are not regionally accredited.

This is a reason why it is to the student's advantage to attend a program at a community college.

The community colleges I have looked at for LVN to RN- ADN offer the same concession regarding transfer students regardless of where they get their lvn. You skip the first year of nursing classes by holding your license and taking a challenge exam. The time saved by not being on a waiting list for an extended length of time. To not have a merit based admission system at community college is crazy. I have a3.907 GPA and what am a reward with a wait of up to 2 plus years since most LA community colleges are on the lottery system. Which in my opinion just sets up many students not ready for the program up to fail.
