I am seriously considering going to nursing school but i am just questioning so many things because i'm a single mom who does not live near my family. ugh
i have been a legal assistant for years and have wanted to change my career for years - it just doesn't fulfill me at all! i have a mortgage now though and have 2 sons - 22 and 9. my 9 year old's dad lives 45 minutes away and he works nights so not much help either. i've just put if off for so long because i've heard it's almost impossible to work and go to school for nursing. i need to make a decision though and figure it all out.
anyone have experience in this and have gone through it and have any advice?

You don't want to know how I did it, lol, not really! I was married, then he wanted out.
I was very poor, lived with friends and On couches and in shelters with my kids.
While I was homeless, I was accepted to an LVN program and given a scholarship, which made the loans doable.
I received welfare, which helped enough to keep us fed, but wasn't enough to get a roof over our heads.
About halfway through school, my boyfriend got me an apartment for me and my son.
That relationship was not healthy. Blah, blah, blah... My life.
But I graduated, got a job and enjoyed nursing. If anyone would have told me I'd lose so much, I wouldn't have done it. But I did do it, by faith! I'm now in an RN program and I'm great financially.
