I am a single mother of a 2 year girl and four year old boy. Just curious to hear any testimonies of other single mothers that went through nursing school as a single mother and working. If you would like to share your stories. I already know it is going to be a challenge, but it will all be worth it in the end!

Got through my first month of nursing school, I failed my first exam and it really made me sad, im going to take that as a learning experience to do better the next exam! All i do is school, work and care for my kids. Im constantly behind on laundry and have to do quick meals it likes i just go non stop. Because I failed my first exam I have implemented even more room to study. This is so hard...

I'm glad there are still hard working people in this country. Taking responsibility of your own children by working and trying to better yourself; not sitting back and collecting food stamps and welfare checks.

Thank you, I am doing traditional program at Rose! I will graduate December of 2019.

You can do it Shayla! It's ok if you're not perfect Every time. The important thing to remember is to just keep going. If something is not quite working, tweek it to fit your needs, but don't stop. It's a sacrifice only in the short-term. You will arrive at your goals before you know it. Go Shayla Go!

Thank you for your kind words! I am pushing through ;)

Specializes in ICU.

Did you end up graduating?!
