Sigler's Prescription Drug Cards

Published

Has anyone used Sigler's Prescription Drug cards while in Nursing School? I have read that a lot of y'all recommend Taber's. I was just wondering because I already own these and I'm not sure if I need to buy Taber's drug book.

It says it has

information on the Top 300 Drugs in the U.S. Covering 93% of all prescriptions dispensed in the U.S.

Features include

  • Color drug photos
  • Therapeutic Classes
  • Dosage forms
  • Uses and Dosing information
  • Pharmokinetics
  • Pharmacology
  • Drug Interactions
  • Contradictions and Precautions
  • Chemical Structures
  • Adverse Effects
  • Information for the Pation
  • Narcotic schedules & more

Thoughts? I really like the idea of these because they are all on Notecards in a neat little binder.

Thanks for any input! I start NS in August and can't wait. (:

From what I heard, Sigler's cards are the best. If you already have them I'm sure it would be reasonable to just use them instead of buying Taber's...best of luck

Thanks. My boyfriend gave them to me from when he used them in a pharm tech program. Glad to hear that they may be of some use. :)

I was curious about these, too. The bookstore at my school sells several different kinds of drug cards and they look like they'd be very useful for Pharm, but I was waiting to get some opinions on them before I went ahead and spent the money. The drug book we're using is Davis's Drug Guide. I'll definitely look at the different options next time I'm in the bookstore.
