I took the TEAS V yesterday, was paper based.
I registered so late, it was hard to find study materials, so I really have no one to blame but myself...
I am 100% positive I NAILED the reading and English portions. I have a BA in English and have just always done well on those kinds of tests. If I got anything less than 80% on either of those portions..I would be VERY surprised.
The math and the sciense, however, I was totally unprepared for. I have been out of high school for over 15 years, and during my college experience, for my major, I only needed 2 basic science classes and one basic math. So Algebra...really threw me for a loop.
The science also, omg. I was trying to remember everything I knew about cell structure and ph balances, and circulatory systems, etc.
The school I am applying to (LPN) doesn't take an overall composite score, but rather individual percentages in each part. English and reading needs 69% to pass, math 59% and Science 41%..or something like that..
Scores come out later today and I am freaking out. I just want to know one way or another! Uggh.
Sigh.

Were you allowed to write in your test booklet (circle questions to go back to later)? Were you able to use a calculator or scrap paper and pencil?
Thanks for your help.
Best of luck on your exam scores. Remember, if you really want to be a nurse, you may have to rearrange your time line, but don't give up
We could write in the booklet, were encouraged to. No calculators allowed, or scrap paper.
I got my scores..they are "ok" I am slightly above the minimum required by my school, so I am not out totally, but if a lot of people did better than me...
I am realizing now I may have to wait a year and thats ok. Just stinks.

How did you do? I just took the paper version yesterday. The school said it would take a week to let us know what our scores were. I think I did good on the reading, English, and science portions. But I know for a fact I bombed the math section. I did not even have time to answer half of those questions, so the best case scenario is 50%. I just hope the math score did not bring down my grade too much...
