Sierra College - 2025

Published

Hello everyone!

I could not find a thread for those of us applying to the nursing program at Sierra College, so I started this one.

This will be my second attempt. I am also applying at ARC, Sac State, and Sac City.

How is everyone feeling? Where are you applying and how many attempts is this for you?

I look forward to seeing all of the replies and having a place to ask questions.

Good luck to all of us =)

Just checking in again. Did anyone get a follow up after submitting the acceptance forms; other than confirmation that the received it. Just want to make sure I don't miss the 'assignments' they said may be posted before orientation.

No, nothing here beyond the confirmation of received email. I did email them (to ask a different question) and they assured me they'd be covering everything at the first orientation. So, I'm assuming we're all good until then! I'll make sure to post if I get anything though.

Just making sure, has anyone gotten any other email?

Yeah, I still have not gotten anything to my personal or even my student email. I think I will reach out to them later today.

Just checking in again since orientation is next Monday. I have not seen any homework assigned, is that the case for everyone?  Also does anyone know what the schedule is like for the first term of class? I have to bid for my work schedule based of the class/clinical schedule. Thanks in advance.

@Koneill I havent gotten anything else so I think we are all good until Monday:)

@Koneill The only thing I've received, aside from confirmations, is the reminder for orientation next week, no to-dos. As far as the schedule, about four months ago someone posted (on FB) that 1st and 2nd semester have classes/clinicals around four days a week, and their schedule was Monday/Thursday lectures (9 AM-12:10 PM) and Tuesday/Wednesday clinicals (either 6:30 AM-4 PM or 2:30 PM-12AM). A 4th-semester student mentioned her schedule was also four days a week with Wednesday lectures (9 AM-12 PM) and Thursday/Friday clinicals. I know this doesn't help directly with your work schedule, but it gave me a very general idea of the in-class time requirement. Hopefully, we will get all the specifics on Monday. It will be such a relief to get more information!
