While I've not quite /done/ it yet, I'm taking A&P1, Chem&121, and two other classes in January (and have seven classes this fall). So really, if you think you can do it, go for it. =) Only you can judge exactly if you can handle it or not. I've actually heard that taking chem with A&P1 can help a little bit, especially at the beginning.
There is a component of A&P1 (albeit one chapter in most cases) that covers basic chemistry, at least that was the case when I took it. Diligent students will not have a problem with the schedule you proposed, and like the prior poster said you know yourself best. I took A&P without any prereqs other than the school-mandated English comp, which seems to be a prereq for most everything else. Unless you struggle with science in general, I really dont see the need to take a basic bio course prior to A&P, it's really basic all on its own - but that's JUST ME! Again, if it was me ... I would be taking A&P1 with PSY in the fall and A&P2 and Chem in the spring.

Here's the deal, I live in Arizona and here BIO 156 which is Biology for Allied Health is not a prerequite, but reccomended. Thats what my nursing advisor told me. I'm a pretty smart guy when I apply myself and very good at taking notes and understanding concepts, but I am already registered for this Bio 156 class and Psy 101 for the fall and I am so determined to apply but I want to bring my prerequite GPA up. I was planning on taking A&P in the spring and Chem 130 also, but everyone at my job including all of the nurses here tell me not to do it and it will save me time and money to just take chem seperately from A&P. So what do you guys think. Should I stay with my current schedule and take BIO 156 AND PSY 101 the fall semester and take A&P and Chem 130 the spring I don't know. Just need input from students that are currently or having taking the classes already. THANKYOU.
