Should I work for an agency or just a hospital or nursing home?

Published

Hi,

I live in Champaign/Urbana, Illinois and I'm 20 years old. I'm currently about to be a CNA after I take the state exam next month. I have a job waiting for me at a hospital. they'll pay for me to go to college to become a LPN, but if I work for an agency, I heard that they'll pay for my rent and utilities when I get an apartment and they'll pay for me to go to college too. Does anybody work for an agency and knows that this is true?

Sounds like malarkey to me. Work for the hospital. Their offer sounds more legitimate and you would be doing yourself a better favor careerwise to start out in a hospital. Good luck.

 ive never heard of a hospital that will pay for a CNA to go to school to become an LPN or even an agency that pays for tuition, rent, and utilities. Thats awesome. You know any other hospitals that offer the same benefits? hhehe:yeah:

When things sound too good to be true, they most often are. Don't refuse a good job offer based on something that might or might not exist. Best answer? Call an agency and ask. But honestly I think someone is gravely mistaken.
