Should I wait on the manager to call me back ?

I recently applied to a Labor and Delivery position and interviewed last week. I am currently working as a Labor and Delivery nurse but wanted to venture out and work at a larger hospital. I received a call after the interview from the manager earlier this week. She told me that she was going to give me the position but just had a current employee who needed to be changed to full time due to a family event and needing more hours. She said that as soon as she had another position available she would be calling me. She also mentioned that she had two nurses leaving when they find NP positions elsewhere. My thing is that isn't guaranteed. I saw that there was another LD FT position open under the same organization but different campus/hospital, and different manager. The only issue is the campus is further (32-40 mins, 26 miles) and their NICU is level III. Whereas, the other position I applied to is 20 minutes (13 miles) from me and has a a level IV NICU. Should I wait on that call or apply to the other position?

Where do you want to work?

I want to work at the hospital I applied to. So I guess I should wait and see.
