Hello. I'm enrolled in a pre-nursing program for an accelerated second degree nursing program. I have a bachelor's degree and starting in May, I'll be taking accelerated 8-week Bio and Chem classes (two classes each) to apply for nursing school for the Dec. 15 deadline. (I have to take the accelerated summer courses because the autumn courses don't finish in time for the deadline.)
My question is: Should I leave my job for this? It's only a temporary job, and not salaried. Technically speaking, I don't "owe" my employers anything. It's just that I would prefer to have an income other than my partner's during the 16 weeks of pre-nursing classes, and working only a few shifts a week wouldn't be worth it; it's all or nothing in this case.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Only you can make a decision about what you can handle. I did work nearly full-time when I was in nursing school until the final semester. However, I was still living at home and was given a pass on a lot of the normal household maintenance. When I was working on my MSN, I was living alone and working well above full-time hours. I ended up relying on the assistance of companies hired to do some of the mundane household tasks- cleaning and meal preparation. It's about how much help you get from family, what you can afford financially, and how much time you need for studying.
