HI there,
I am currently in an RN program, but at the end of last semester I became eligible to sit for the NCLEX PN.
I am considering taking it so that I can just have it under my belt and maybe not feel so nervous when I sit for the NCLEX RN (I have 2 more semesters until graduation).
My question is that I am also in the process of applying for Nurse Extern positions and wasn't sure if by becoming licensed as an LPN I would be somehow disqualified for a Nurse Extern position? Has anyone had an experience in this area?
Thanks in advance for your responses.

The only reason to ever take the NCLEX-PN as a student in an RN program is if you plan on working as an LPN while you finish the portion of schooling to be eligible to sit for the NCLEX-RN.
