Should I take microbiology or physiology and anatomy in the summer together?

Published

Hey everyone! I'm new to this forum so I thought I'd ask advice about whether or not I should take some classes. I'm currently enrolled in an anatomy course at a community college this summer. It's a 7 week course and it is four days a week and approximately 3 1/2 hours long. I'm thinking about taking microbiology as well, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to handle it along with anatomy. The good thing is one of my friends is taking microbiology as well. I'm also considering taking physiology in place of microbiology. The problem is, if I don't take either one, my spring semester classes at my university will be organic chemistry, pathophysiology, and microbiology which is way too hard. Which class would be easier to take with anatomy? Any help? Thanks!

--Sorry I guess I wasn't clear enough. This summer anatomy course is just anatomy because my school splits anatomy and physiology. If I do not take physiology this summer, I will be taking it in the fall next year before I take pathophysiology in the spring next school year.

Maybe you forgot? Lol but its require at my school. I don't know the science program at my school is one of the tough around. Maybe I got real unlucky and I know more than I should;

Lol you know how they over teach these days.

I know it will come in handy because my teacher keeps in contact with all of the students as the go through and ccomplete their programs. Every other drug/disease mentioned she says "I just got a email from so and so in whatevers program and she/he just got a patient with such and such." So I am assuming if I remember any of it, it will come in handy.

my schools is the same. Just take anatomy by its self or take anatomy and some online/boring class like developmental psych if its req

Each class builds on the other. I would suggest A and P because knowing the parts and how they work will help you understand and retain the knowledge of those 2 classes. That's why many programs combine the 2 classes into 1 class.

Patho is about what happens when the body doesn't work as designed. Micro is about the organisms that cause some of the problems. The parts and how they are suppose to work are the foundations, before what if's.
