Should I take Biology and Microbiology in the same semester?

Should I take Biology and Microbiology in the same semester? The other two classes would be pre rec classes so they wouldn't be too hard but I didn't know if taking the two bio classes at the same time would be smart? Thanks in advance!

Shouldn't bio be a prereq for taking micro? If you have never taken a biology class before, you may struggle in micro since you don't have any background knowledge of the basics.

My school also required bio before microbiology. Regardless, I think it would be smart to take them separately. Microbio is a bit tough, so it may be best to take a general course to ease you into everything. Two simultaneous bio courses might be a little much.
