Hello everyone! I really need some advice from all of you experienced nurses and nursing students! I was enrolled in A&P 1 this sememster but I chose to drop it because at the last minute they hired a foreign professor that I couldn't understand. This is such an important class I wanted to make sure I learned everything that I could and I felt that would be impossible with this professor. I am trying to decide if i should take it during the summer semester or not!? Many people have told me that it would be good to take it then b/c that is the only class that you have to think about. I see their point but I am also worried that it will be so fast paced that I will be overwhelmed. Has anyone taken this class during the summer? If so, do you think that it is doable or do you regret it then!? I would appreciate any advice that you guys may have! Thanks!
It depends on what else is going on in your life. I took it during the Summer. I did just fine. What I WOULDN'T want to do is take AP 2 during the summer. That is much more involved, and more important, because you learn systems, not just, "This is the femur...this is what connective tissue is..."

Hey,
I also took A&P 1 over the summer and I was very glad that I did it. It was 8:00-12:20 every day, Monday through Thursday and it was moderately intense. It helped me alot to just have that one class to focus on and then a three day weekend to catch up on notes and flashcards. Best of luck in your decision!
