hey guys,
I was just wondering what scores are good for the quizes using Saunders book and Cd, I'v been getting b/w 60-80% and some 90%!!! on most of them, and ones i get lower than that I go over several times. DO you think that is enough, I'm also using online tests and flash cards. Its been hard to study working full time as a graduate nurse, and i'm writting on Aug 28th!!!!!!!!! i'm sooo scared of this test!!!
Any feedback is appriciated
You can score quite high in Saunders I was getting over 90% most of the time & I passed with 75. You probably know your content well so now you need to check your critical thinking skills.
Try the Mosby on-line CAT test. It will give you your probability of passing N-CLEX & so far, judging by those who have used it on this site (including me), it's been correct.
If you have time try & do at least the 1 day live Kaplan course - or the 5 day if you can. The questions on Kaplan were just like the one's I had in my exam. This would really help you hone your critical thinking skills.
Failing that you could sign up for the NCSBN on-line course ($49 for 3 weeks.) Just go straight to the questions each time - only look back at content if you get too many wrong. I had at least 2 questions in my actual exam that were on that site.
Then good luck, relax, you know you can do it!

I'm suppose to take the nclex mid next week. I failed the 1st time early June (test result print out stated I was " near passing" with the levels, seemed to know my content, but lacked critical thinking skills?).
I started Kaplan Complete right after I failed, and started out with scores in the mid 50's. Well, I am still in the mid-high 50's (a few in the 60's). I have done all the q-bank ?'s and everything else (except test#7), and have been going over all the answers. But since my scores are pretty much the same as when I started Kaplan, is this something to be concerned about? I'm just wondering if I should re-schedule my exam or not.
Thanks, guys.
