Ive been a nurse for 5.5 years now with experience on Medical, Surgical, Telemetry and Progressive Care (step-down). I just got a job at Stanford Medical Center as a Clinical Floor Nurse, Its pretty legit. and I like it....but!.....this whole floor nursing thing is kinda making me tired.
Im wondering if I should go back to school!! I feel like I need a masters Degree but I have narrowed it down to either 3 topics. Is there anyone who I can speak with who is either a Clinical Nurse Specialist, NP, or has a masters in Nursing informatics that I can speak with regarding these subjects?
I like the whole computer thing....which is why informatics interests me but I don't wanna loose that medicine aspect of knowledge and I still kinda wanna see patients at the bedside in a way. NP and CNS programs seem very complicated and lengthy. Is it even worth it to go back to school? I realllllly enjoy working only 3 days a week like I do now but I don't know if I can do it forever. Please someone message me, or respond and hopefully you don't mind exchanging numbers or emails or threading back and forth on this thing. Thanks!

Welcome to AN! There's actually a specialty forum for each of the fields you've mentioned that you can browse through.

FWIW:
It's lose, not loose.
Exclamation points are more effective in lesser quantities.
Graduate degree-readers will appreciate both of those points.
