I'm worried of getting rejected by the nursing programs at Calstate and city colleges. If I do not get accepted into that, my last option was to go to AUHS. However, I've been looking through the reviews and majority of it were negative comments. I'm really scared . Also, what kind of degree would I need in order to be an OB/GYN nurse?
So should I just stick with trying to apply for the nursing programs at my city colleges and calstate schools? Because that is what I really want to do, but I'm just worried I will be wasting my time just waiting

First off, have faith! Until you receive a rejection letter, it is not over.
AUHS is an expensive school but not as expensive as other private schools. The teachers are great - they know their stuff.
I think with any negative reviews and comments need to be taken with some grain of salt. Generally, a person that's upset is more likely to voice their comments on the message boards and other media outlets. Granted, there may be some degree of truth, but it's probably not really that unbiased.
Basically, it depends on what you want to do - wait for the cheaper (money-wise) schools or start looking into private schools, such as AUHS and West Coast. Try calling AUHS and talking to one of their admissions counselors/reps/whatever-their-title-is. Ask if you can tour the school (if you're not too far away) to get a feel of how things are over there. And on the tour, see if you can talk to some of the current students.
As to OB/Gyn nursing, there are some new grad programs for L&D, but they are (currently right now) far and few and very competitive to get in to. Hopefully, in a little while, there will be many more openings... but right now, I don't see many New Grad positions for them.
Whatever you decide, good luck on your future nursing career. :)
