1) Check and make sure it is past the drop deadline for your course, if you drop a class prior to the drop dates then it doesn't show up on your transcript at all. In the future set a goal of making these decisions prior to the normal drop deadline.
2) A "W" on your transcript that you get for "Withdraw" after the drop date looks better than a bad grade. Most colleges and universities don't use "W" for calculation of GPA.
3) Nursing school is intense enough that you should only be taking required courses. If somehow you find yourself with enough free time outside of nursing school that you want to learn something fun do it on your own time, rather than for credit.

Hello everyone, I am currently on the fence about dropping my Japanese 001 class. As of right now, I am taking 4 classes(technically 5) which are Physiology 1 w/lab, Nursing Pharmacology, Political Science, and Japanese. Im feeling really overwhelmed and have gotten my first exam from physiology which is a C. It does not count for any of my requirements, but rather Ive taken it as a fun class. Severely disappointed with my grade, I wanted to ask if dropping Japanese will look bad when applying to transfer to a Four year university and to my local cc.
