Hey everyone, I have been accepted to Cape Breton University in their direct entry 3 year nursing program. I'm excited to start my schooling for nursing.... but I am dreading CBU. The school does not have a good reputation for its program and it is really far away from family and friends. Most of my correspondence with them has seemed unprofessional and disorganized which makes me question if I should defer to work on gaining acceptance to a better school. My goal would be to work on courses that would be applicable to a nursing program, such as anatomy and physiology and biochem to help a little with the learning curve. I really want to be in Ontario and am still waiting to hear back from some schools, but I am so torn. I feel like I may be settling, just because I got accepted there and honestly I never applied there because I wanted to go, but the application fee was cheap and I figured why not...help!

Seems like you answered your own question. If your dreading a school and never really wanted to go there I would pass up on the opportunity and give it to someone who really wants it. This is a huge decision/commitment, go with your gut . Wishing you all the best!
