I'm a critical nurse for 9years, planning to go to school January 2025 for 2 years acute NP Program. I also dream of owning a medical aesthetic spa in the future. I know there's a lot of aesthetic training I can get eventually like for botox and fillers. But is it right to pursue acute NP Program? that's mostly related to my experience and can earn higher income so I can save money for a spa later. NP's in Virginia can have own practice as long as I work under a dermatology physician for 5 years.

This sounds like a doable plan...and exciting!

Pursuing an Acute NP Program complements your extensive critical care experience and sets a strong foundation for increasing your earning potential and advancing your career. It could be a smart way to save money for your future medical aesthetic spa. Acute care skills are highly sought after, and the higher income can help you build and secure the funds needed for your future business.

Additionally, obtaining your NP credential will enhance your credibility in medical aesthetics. Once you complete the requirement of working under a dermatology physician for five years in Virginia, you will be well-prepared to establish your own practice and offer aesthetic services.

In conclusion, pursuing the Acute NP Program seems like a practical and strategic decision that aligns with your current experience and long-term goals. I'm rooting for you and every fellow nurse entrepreneur!

Very best wishes,

Nurse Beth
