Shiftkey agency

Published

Does anyone work for this agency. It's not really an agency, it's just a platform for a nurse to schedule their own shifts. Does anyone have any problems at facilities they are scheduled?

I have not heard of ShiftKey Agency, but you can always do a Google search on them. I found some reviews on Indeed. I actually really like Indeed. They are very active and the hold reviews for companies.

I'm sure you've looked at this, but no one has replied yet. Hate to leave an inquiry unanswered. Are you a travel nurse?

This agency I have heard has some really good shifts.

Specializes in CMA, CNA.

I was just coming here to ask the same thing! I work with a handful of people who use shiftkey and seem to like it. They appreciate the flexibility and pay. I know 3 or 4 aides, a few nurses, and we have a nurse supervisor who just started using it. All are long-time employees.

My major concern is a review I saw where they said the company doesn't take out taxes. That could be an issue around tax time. And I'm not too keen on putting my social security number and banking info out there online, but maybe that's not a big deal if the company is trustworthy. Just not sure yet. I look forward to hearing others input, as I'm considering it or other agency work.

Specializes in ER/School/Rural Nursing/Health Department.

I worked as a "private contractor" which means taxes aren't taken out.  I set up a separate bank account and placed the taxes that SHOULD be taken out into the account each paycheck.  Then at tax time I had the money untouched and available if I needed it.  Only 1 of the 3 years did I need all the money I had put aside due to other deductions, etc.  But its a safe way to keep the money away from your normal spending and available if you need it.
