SHARP New Grad Fall 2024

I thought I would start a new thread for the SHARP new grad program that starts in Oct/Nov and we can keep each other updated!

I got a phone call to schedule an interview today. My status the application never changed though- I just got the call today.

I haven't heard anything yet and my status is still unchanged. I constantly check which is probably not a good idea LOL. I know it might be a bit early to give up but seeing some of these posts with replies back (which im so happy for you loves! ❤️ ), I'm getting discouraged that sharp won't consider me. even though interviews take place between now to august, do you guys think if I don't hear back by early august I should withdraw the application or just keep it? I currently work as a new grad at a snf so my options to new grad programs are limited due to work experience.

 

also, for individuals that heard back for an interview - what do you think made your application stand out?

Don't be discouraged, I think unit by unit they are starting to send interviews! Seems like maybe transplant PCU & the psych units (Sharp Mesa Vista) have started. I haven't heard of any other units yet, but I think each unit varies on when they review applications & invite applicants for interviews.

Agreed! Don't get discouraged. From what I read on previous cohort chats, they take awhile to go through applications. There is still time, so have faith💕

Has anyone heard back from other hospitals than memorial??

Hey y'all! I applied for oncology and medsurg at memorial. Hoping to hear back soon, still says "under consideration" on my app. Curious if anyone has heard anything.

I applied for the first time for the fall cohort and got an interview on Friday for the short stay observation unit at SMH .. any interview tips?

I think the panel during the webinar said that around 600 applicants if not more apply, but I did not catch how many are interviewed
