Hi there! I am a Shadyside school of nursing hopefull for the March 2009 start. I was wondering if anyone could give me any information about the program schedule? I have found the course schedule on-line at the Shadyside site, but I was thinking more of potential breaks or holidays during the year? Do you get any time off during the summer? If you have all your pre-reqs done, I understand you may have a day or 2 of during the week for the 1st few semesters, and then after that it is everyday?

I had to read it over a few times to completely understand and digest it, but once I did I just gave my overall impression of it, what it meant and how it would apply to me as a student and professional nurse. I think they are really looking for you to have some insight into what being a nurse is all about....beyond the normal day-to-day stuff. Does that help at all?
