Hi Everyone! I wanted to start a thread here because I could not find one for this cohort. I applied for the Adult Gerontology CNS track. Anybody know when interview invites will be sent out? ?

All interviews are now canceled b/c of Covid-19. Not sure if that will help or hurt us.

"SFSU’s School of Nursing has decided to cancel all in-person interviews for the Fall BSN/ELM admissions. Final admission decisions will be announced shortly via email.""

WOW!! Looks like the admission committee will make final decisions since the interviews are canceled.

Does anybody have any insight into what the job market will be like once we get our degree? I know we'll get BSN + MSN but we're not technically traditional BSN or nurse practitioners, so I'm quite confused about what kind of jobs will be open with this degree. Please share anything!

Hi there! Where did you check your app? Was it through gateway SFSU portal because I logged on but couldn't find the app status.

They are cancelling interviews due to Covid-19 and will now be sending admission decisions via email.

Did anyone get any decision emails? In the email it said "final admissions decisions will be announced shortly via email"....how much time should I give it before I start stressing? ?

Hi, no I haven’t received anything yet. I’m not sure how long “shortly” is, but I would assume in the next couple weeks?

Same, haven't received anything yet either. Hopefully its soon =/

I think we are all just guessing at this point, but I would think that by the end of the month we should hear something. Could be sooner. I would be really surprised if they took into April to decide.

I got a call back from admissions just now (left a voicemail yesterday) and I was told that applications are still in review and that we would be notified mid to late April of acceptance/denial via email. I'll probably call again at the end of this month ?

Hey all,

I got an acceptance admissions email early this morning! So hopefully it doesn’t drag out too long for everyone else-especially if you are waiting before you make other decisions about schools!
