SFSU ELMSN 2021 Application

Published

Hi there!

I am currently applying for the SFSU ELMSN program and wondering if there is anyone else on here applying? Didn't see a thread for it so figured I would start one.

Thought I would announce myself to this thread. I’ve applied for the fall and stated my intention was to specialize in psych. I know SFSU’s MSW program is highly selective, so I’m wondering if their ELMSN is as well. I’m anxiously awaiting an interview request.....

Does anyone know how much this program is? I'm kind of confused because according to the general SFSU tuition chart, masters programs are 4,222 a semester so I assumed that included this program. That would make it about 25,000 total. But on the page for the accelerated ELMSN, it specifies that program is 700 per unit for 97 units total, so about 67,000 total. Is the regular ELMSN we applied for also this price too??

I think it's about $67k, based on the what you also saw. I've noticed that nursing programs are usually priced differently than other programs at the same school.

Has anyone received any updates? And what other schools have you all applied to?

Not yet... I think most of the schools I applied to in January will be contacting people next month, unless there is an interview.

Hi. Does anyone know if the student is responsible for finding their clinical placement or is it the responsibility of SFSU?

No idea. I found the website to be pretty sporifice....

also, I have not heard anything back from them outside of responding to my inquiries about whether they received all my info.

Has anyone looked at the self-service to  check on their status?

Hi everyone! I came across this thread and thought I would introduce myself! I applied for the Women's Health CNS track! Hopefully looking forward to hearing back from the school soon! ?

Hi everyone! I'm commenting to receive updates on this thread. I applied for the Adult Gerontology CNS track. Also hoping we hear back soon!

I have checked the website a few times and it doesn’t have any new info about the application status. I read in another thread that interview invites are sent out mid-March and decisions are made in April. Although this last cohort had their interviews cancelled, due to COVID, and shortly after their decisions were sent out.

For those who choose psych as their emphasis, have you also noticed there is no longer an ANCC accreditation for psych CNS’?

Has anyone checked their application status and saw that they still require "High School Comp Verf"? Has anyone submitted something for this? Do they want our high school transcript or verification of a diploma? I already emailed them and am waiting for a reply, but I just wanted to see if anyone else has already encountered this?
