Just wanted to start this thread for anyone applying to Seton and Dell Children's to connect and stay updated. Good luck to everyone!

I know it was very strange. All of mine still say interview even though once I got there they basically canceled them.

I'm so confused now, because on March 10th I got an email to schedule a phone interview for Dell's Neuro unit and did the phone interview last week. I feel as if the ascension recruiters and people at Dell don't communicate at all. Maybe Dell really has filled up their positions and the ascension recruiters don't know that yet.

Have you checked your application status? I applied for neuro and it now says "candidate not selected" but I never interviewed. If yours hasn't changed maybe they're are still deciding? It is confusing, but we probably will just have to wait and see if they still have open positions.

I received an email last week to schedule a phone interview this week with a recruiter for general peds. He asked my availability, then never confirmed anything. He hasn't answered any follow up emails and I'm having trouble being able to speak with someone over the phone. Any advice on how to get a hold of someone?

Has anyone accepted a position at dell children's?

i have, and would like to start a fb group to keep in touch before the residency starts 😊

Carolyn from HR told me on the 10th that basically no positions were left, I even interviewed in person with Neuro the day before but basically that was only because I had driven all that way. I was told that all current available positions were filled but that they would "maybe" add more depending on the budget. Last I heard from a girl doing clinicals there, they are having some significant budget cuts. They apparently chose only 30 something people to interview who all went to the open house, but only have 12 total new nurse positions that have already been given. Sorry to bring the bad news but hate to see yall waiting and not being told anything. Hopefully they add more and carolyn was mistaken

Ugh that's frustrating. I had a preliminary internet today with HR and he told me multiple positions were open. But I know they use an outside agency so who knows if he really knows.

I hope they do! I have fortunately already accepted a job elsewhere, but I would be happy to give y'all the HR number so you can ask Carolyn from Dell yourself. She mentioned they might add more so hopefully they have!

I had a phone interview with the recruiter last week that was supposedly for the PICU, but he asked my questions related to location and unit preferences, so it seemed like more of a general screening. A little disappointing...

Carolyn told me that PICU only took one nurse and it was a student who did her capstone on that unit but that in the past they have taken more so maybe that added more positions you never know!
