Hello future nurses!
I'm simply making this thread to have an area for updates and sharing helpful information between us. Best of luck to everyone!
According to their job listings online, there's about 16 residency positions left. Good luck on your interview!
I just finished my phone interview with Seton and I received a verbal offer!!! I'm so excited. I also had an interview with a big hospital in Amarillo. I really liked the nursing manager who interviewed me and I've heard good things about their hospital so I'm confused now on what decision to make. I live in Dallas right now and I would relocate either way. It's a win-win situation for me. But I really need to think about this carefully.

That's so great! Congratulations on the offer!! It sounds like you have a tough decision but I would definitely consider the positions offered (area/specialty of interest) and of course the pay rate of both hospitals. Just a fun fact; Seton Medical Center Austin is a Magnet hospital :) I might be bias but I LOVE Austin. Cost of living is a little high if you prefer to live within Austin city limits. It's what you sacrifice for living in a city that's booming. There are so many places to check out, restaurants and food trucks, bars/nightlife, hiking trails and swimming holes and anything outdoor-sy. I can't say much about Amarillo because I haven't experienced that area of Texas. Good luck on making your decision!

My husband prefers Austin because his job has an office there. We have friends there too so it would be fun. Apartments are double the price to that of Amarillo. But yes, I just realized that I applied on a Magnet hospital which is great! I got an offer at Seton Medical Center Austin (Neurology) so I'll be living in the Downtown area. I've been there once and I can say Austin is really an awesome place. What unit are you in?
Hi everyone! I just wanted to say that I talked to a recruiter's assistant a while ago, and she told me that the last day that seton would offer any positions would be on the 26th. I dont know if it is still absolute, but at least those who havent heard back by then hopefully will have some sort of closure.
Good luck to everyone still waiting to hear back!
Ps if anyone is on the pulmonary unit at seton main come say hi to me:) we can be residency buddies
