Seton Austin, Texas RN Residency Program October 2017 Cohort

Hello Everyone! I just wanted to start a thread for those of us hoping to be a part of Seton's RN Residency Program starting this October 2017. Unfortunately, I was unable to attend the open house on June 23rd. I sent in applications to my top 5 positions last Friday (ICU and Telemetry). Just curious who else has applied? Did you go to open house? Any response to applications? Interviews?

I will be at Seton Hays as well, in the ICU!! So excited to get started!! Has anyone received a schedule for our orientation though?? After I finished all of my new hire stuff with Ascension, I haven't heard anything!

Also, not sure what happened with this thread?! maybe tge cohort is smaller this time around? I couldn't find another one on this subject. Either way, we will meet everyone at orientation!!

SO frustrating!! We are supposed to start in a week and still no schedule. Is everyone else experiencing the same thing I wonder??

Any one get a Schedule yet? I can't believe we don't have a schedule.. I hope we get it tomorrow. Question though? Are we getting paid for orientation? lol

hello there. I got an email from my unit that I will work with last friday regarding the details of my orientation after mon. Its actually in the spam folder, so you should check your spam also and I receive an all clear email today from ascension recruiter and details of monday's NAE. Congrats to all, and hope to see you on orientation í ½í¸Š

Thank you for the update. I'm super frustratred. I need a dang schedule. if you don't mind sharing how does your schedule look? are you in class some days and on the floor others? Are class days 8-5 or is it like first half is class and the other is floor? I'm dying to know. í ½í¸«í ½í¸«

just checked spam mail..nothing but fake mails about miracle pills...my guess is either they are overwhelmed by amount of workload they have to do or there's nothing really for us to do in the 1st week....darn it someone please give us new information!

I am currently looking into applying to Seton for Summer 2018, however, i would like to get some background on everything regarding the program from some of you who may have already started... I would also love any tips/info you guys have regarding the open house event, resume building, and the interview process.
