I am fixing to start my clinicals in the Nursing Home setting next week. I was doing a search through the forum for threads with different services for the patients, but didnt find one. If I just missed one, I apologize. I am very sleep deprived, but then, I know everyone knows first hand what I am just learning.
I want this project to be really good, so I was going to see if anyone could steer me in the right direction.
I did see many posts that will help a lot in the next few weeks as I do my clinicals, so I will definitely be spending some time in this forum over the next month, and thank you to anyone who can share some words of wisdom with me.

From your post, I can't tell what kind of services you mean...social? medical?
We offer a variety of services. Of course 24 hour nursing,IV's, wound care including wound vacs, tube feeds, medication management, discharge planning, occupational, physical and speech therapy....activities(it's not just BINGO any more),religious services.
Go take a nap. You can't learn if you don't sleep. (yes, Mother)
Thank you Capecodmermaid. I really appriciate your reply. You answered the question I needed just fine. I read on the instructions, and it is just list services, but I wanted it to have several. I think it is a good list, so that really helped. I did get back to sleep, but I guess now that I am awake, I should get back to it. What takes you 5 minutes is going to take me two hours since I am just starting NS. It is much harder than I imagined, and yea, I will admit, I am more than a little nervous. The good thing about that is my apetite is very small.
I have kissed those A's from the pre-reqs goodbye, and I thank God for every C I make. I know it will get better, especially when we get that 16 week fall and spring semester. These 4 week semesters are about to do me in. Having a major exam Monday along with starting clinicals, learning all drugs we have to make cards for, and also these projects (case studies, and quiet a few others) etc, I am very overwhelmed. I kind of feel :trout:. I know this is just a taste of what life as a nurse will be, but hey, someone has got to do it, and since this is what I want to do, I may as well learn to deal with it with humor.
Anyway, thank you again.
