Sentara...online BLS?

I am a new Sentara hire... and will call and ask HR tomorrow, but.... Does anyone know if Sentara will accept an online BLS certification from an accredited place, such as American Heart Association? Thanks!

If you take BLS for Healthcare Providers online, you still have to do your skills in person somewhere with a BLS instructor, and you end up with the same card from AHA.

Thanks, but I should have clarified... I know I will be required to cert in person, but I am wondering how that would be handled. I cannot find a training schedule on their website.

Aha, picture a lightbulb going on over my head. :D I would check with their education department and see if they have a BLS instructor who is able to do your skills session and get you a card.

I can assure you that Sentara has many BLS classes going on/scheduled at times of New Hires. ;)
