Sent kid home with a fever of 103 yesterday

The most annoying thing about it is that I specifically told dad when he came to pick her up that she could not come today no matter what and IF she remained fever free all day today without any medications she could come tomorrow. He said OK.

And no one is answering their phones

I'm really torn, I've been on both sides of the pinkeye thing. When I worked in a pediatric clinic the docs would get really upset at the 24 hour abx policy for pinkeye, saying that the majority of pinkeye is viral anyway. Now, working in the school clinic, our county policy, written by the health department is that they have to be on abx for 24 hours to return. Most of the PCM's will fax in an rx for the kids. Luckily, at the Jr. High level, we don't see as much as the elementary schools.
