Senior Link Caregiver Homes Salary?

Published

Specializes in Med-Surg, LTACH, FNP.

Hello All

Just had an interview with the company listed in the title, and they asked me what salary I wanted/ expected. Told them I'd get back with them. I need YOUR HELP:

Job Details:

Part-Time (20 hours/ week)

NO BENEFFITS

Anywhere from 12 - 20 patients (not more than this unless I choose)

SALARY

Position Description: The Care Manager works collaboratively with the care management team to assess consumers, establish and implement a person-centric plan of care, conduct regularly scheduled homes visits, and oversee consumer care. The care management team credentials caregivers and their homes and provides ongoing support and training.

This is a HANDS-OFF position

Details About ME:

RN (BSN)

4 years of acute care HOSPITAL experience (no home health)

Will graduate with FNP at end of this year, so I do have experience with chronic illness and primary care

If I get called by Branch Manager for second interview, I will ask about gas mileage, phone reimbursement, etc.

OK, So, How much is a fair salary to request given the above information?

(BTW, I live in the MidWest)

Thanks for your help! I've never done ANY sort of Home Health Care AT ALL and would need to learn EVERYTHING (But I am a quick learner)

That position isn't home health care. It seems to be some cross between case mgmt and a private personal care facilitator.

If you were applying for a home health position with us, (Medicare certified home health agency) providing patient treatments, assessments, interventions and education, you would start about 90K for full time in an affordable part of California. With benefits.

Right. I believe the official title is: RN Care Manager. So, being that its NOT hands on, what would be a fair salary to request?

It's not in the Home Health industry so I'm not sure why you are asking the question in this forum. Maybe someone here will know the answer nonetheless, but you might want to try the general forum, and perhaps the case management forum.

Oh! See, completely wet behind the ears with this. Thank you! I will try case management.
