Well, I'm preparing the envelope- I have to wait to mail it until a savings transfer goes through :-P I feel a little bad about dipping in to our meager savings, but what is savings for if not to pay for school?
I'm so excited- I start the ACE program in the Fall! I didn't think I would get in anywhere with my undergraduate GPA, so I think it's still sinking in that someone actually wants me to go to their school :)

Congrats on getting in!
I applied past the deadline, but I'm still hoping to get in. Kinda far for me-I"m from CA, but I'd go for the 11 months :)
Good luck! My transcripts finally arrived after the deadline by a few days, but I think they were probably already there and just not noticed :-P
Did they call or email you to let you know your application status?

Congratulations and good luck! What was your gpa if you don't mind my asking?
They sent me a thin, small envelope that made my heart sink but turned out to be notice that my application was complete and under review. I got my acceptance....about a month later I want to say? I would call to make sure they have everything- I thought my application was complete but ended up having to have two of my schools resend transcripts because they hadn't arrived in a month of my first request.
My undergraduate GPA was a 2.795, which does not include a semester I spent at a school where I failed most of my classes. My undergraduate history is so spotty that I have to pull out all of my transcripts to see how many classes I've failed or withdrawn from- it's a high enough number that I don't remember it :-P
But my prerequisite GPA was a 4.0 from 6 classes I'd completed by the time my application was complete, with 3 prerequisites pending this semester. I had my midterm grades sent to them but I have no idea if they arrived before they had made a decision. I was so worried that my new grades wouldn't be enough to balance out my undergraduate grades, but apparently they were.

The first part really made me laugh when I read it a few posts back. I think you said "the thinnest letter in America" or something? (Or I could have you confused with someone else).
Heh, sounds like me. I had about a 3.15-3.2 from CCP when I graduated. But, from my Bachelor's (I transfered), it was only a 2.67. Overall, when I applied (after I continued working on my xfer courses), I think I scraped by with a 3.01. The last 6 classes I took (3 repeated sciences since they were old, nutrition, ethics and developmental psychology), I had 5 A's and 1 B.
Congrats on your acceptance, hiddencat. Let's just keep on the up and up. I really feel the acceptance to Drexel is an awesome oppertunity to prove what I'm capable of, since I've already proven how much of a slacker I can be.

I think someone else said the thinnest envelope in America, but they were definitely right on! Every other small envelope I've gotten has been a "thanks, but no thanks" kinda letter :-P
I feel the same way about proving myself!

That was me that said it. I just got my acceptance today...and I can empathize with hiddencat because I am completely bewildered with my acceptance. I am so overwhelmed right now.
Well, super congratulations to both of you who received the thin letters first (I probably had one too, but didn't realize the implications). The stress from waiting is a real pain.
