Hi everyone, thought I would start a support group for the SSC/UCF Concurrent Program starting Fall 2012 hopefuls :) Is everyone getting their applications ready for submission... the deadline is approaching quickly!
My name is Amy and I was accepted into the Fall 2012 Concurrent program. I was wondering if anybody could explain the schedule to me. When and how do you have time to attend both UCF and SSC classes? I know UCF goes online around the second semester but until then how does it work? If anyone has any information I would greatly appreciate it either on here or personal email if you'd prefer. Thank so much and congrats to everyone who was accepted. Look forward to meeting you guys!
Hi Amy! I am not sure exactly how and when the classes will be distributed but you can find a sample curriculum for the ASN nursing track on the nursing page on Sem State website. In addition to ASN classes concurrent program students will be taking an extra class or two at UCF (Alt. Springs campus and online). FAFSA should only be applied from one school which will be Sem State college, in our case. Looking forward to meet you too!
I got accepted to the UCF/SCC program for fall also! I was on the waiting list, but just received my conditional acceptance. Congrats to everyone else who got in! :) Does anyone know if this program is harder than a regular BSN program? Also, any recommendations on apartment rentals near campus? Do most live near UCF or get a place in Altamonte Springs?
Hello- I'm a lurker on the forums..plugging away at my pre-reqs... I have what I need to apply for the AS program in Spring 2013, but a couple of semesters away from completing everything for BSN..
Congrats to everyone that go into the AS and concurrent program!
My question is for the people that were accepted into the concurrent program: when did you complete all your prereqs? I'm working on them now and read on this thread that they are now accepting people with pre-reqs from 2 years ago!? YIKES Just wondering if it was that long for concurrent too.. thanks!
