Seems sketchy and maybe illegal?

Work FT at a SNF night shift. When hired, was told they don't give offer lettera to hourly employees. Just give pay metrics and when off prob, you get benefits.

(Nvr had that before 14 yr nurse). Is that the case sometimes? Am in Fl.

I have always rec'd an offer letter and it seemed odd. 
if you read my 2nd topic..” is this acceptable", I am thinking things are a little loose at this job and am a bit ambivalent.
