Second Interview?!

Hey guys! I have been a nurse for almost 2 years. I am currently working on a Rehab unit. I applied to an internal posting for OB and got an interview. They waited almost 3 weeks to call me back. When they did call they set up a 2nd interview. This is my dream job and everything I worked for and it is full time and day shift :) I want to be ready for whatever may be thrown at me. I am interviewing with the nurse manager again and this time with two clinical coordinators. I am so nervous and anxious. What is the purpose of a second interview? What are some examples of things that I may be asked? How can I be most ready to score my dream job?!

Good for you... they are surely interested. Try to appear calm and focused... share your eye contact with all 3 interviewers.( I got my last job because the manager thought I was "confident"). Actually , I was acting.

I would expect a question regarding how your rehab skills will be valuable in OB.

Was your first interview a "behavioral" interview? I would expect the same format as the first.

Some of my most challenging were;

"what gets you angry"

"how do you resolve conflict"

"tell me about a time your manager failed you and how did you feel "

How would you support the mother of a stillborn?

Think I should stop now, don't want you to panic:)

Best of luck! Keep us posted.
