Hi Everyone!
I'm starting this topic for those who are applying to 2nd-entry programs, to start in 2014.
A bit about myself:
I'll be applying to University of Ottawa and University of Toronto.
Graduated with a Social Science degree from Ottawa U w/ 7.2 CGPA (aka 3.33 on 4.0 scale, or a B+)
A lot of community involvement in health promotion, youth counseling programs, women's health research..
Currently taking the prerequisites...
I'm kind of nervous about the applications because I know how competitive these programs are... Any advice from current 2-year BScN students would be great!
Let's get this thread going
Does anyone know when U of T will be sending out more acceptances? Has anybody heard from u of t recently? Any information would be really appreciated!! The waiting game is extremely stressful!
I have yet to hear from UofT...I'm hoping that they're just waiting for my final marks. It doesn't seem like they've sent out any acceptances recently though, but I can't be sure. However, I'm pretty sure they'll still be sending out acceptances since they said they'd send them until June. Fingers crossed everyone! I agree, the waiting game is pure agony.
I got a letter from Western yesterday saying they've deferred my application until they receive my final transcript.
I know a few people have posted saying they got the same thing, but does anyone know what this means for us? They said they will consider my application as long as there are spaces available in the program, but what if they fill up before my final transcript gets sent? I have a 3.9 GPA on my last 10 courses and only 1 class waiting on final marks (not a prereq) so I'm a bit confused as to how they choose to send out acceptances to some people and deferrals to others

I just accepted my offer a few days ago , and so far there has been no indication that we need to send in a deposit. There is a FB group started for those going to Queen's that was posted on the forum already.
