Thank goodness you made this thread - I've been lurking since last year and was wondering when we'd have our 2022 chats!

I'm seeking offers from the following:

  • UoffT
  • Nipissing
  • Western
  • Queens
  • McMaster
  • UBC

I'm nervous about getting in and applied to six LOL. Going to take Casper on Thursday (if you are too please can we be friends LOL) and will work on my supps afterward

I’m also writing CASPER this Thursday! How are you planning on studying? I’ve been trying to read online tips as well as practicing the mock test they have online!

I am currently at UofT in my first semester of the Accelerated Nursing Program. I wrote the Casper Test last year and tbh it is hard to type everything you want to say within the time limit. If you don't get to answer all the questions don't worry about it and don't let it get in the way of answering other questions. In your responses try to remain very impartial and do your best to mention that you would listen to the person/both parties before coming to a decision.

ALL in all try your best, don't worry or stress too much about it and studying for it as this is not a super heavily weight component for getting into nursing programs.

Thanks for your advice! How are you liking the program at UofT so far? And was UofT your first choice?

Same! I did the practice Casper online today, as well as Youtube videos. It was tough to type fast - definitely scrambling to finish some answers. good luck!

I love the program so far but it is a lot of work as with any program! I find it a bit tricky to manage my time with school, lab and clinical but, they say that the first semester is the busiest and that as you progress through the program you get better at managing time.

Technically UofT wasn't my top choice because I never thought I was going to get in! I applied to Uoft UBC western and Queens. I got rejected from UBC. waitlisted and ultimately rejected from Queens as they only accept a very small number (around 60ish) and got into western and UofT. I choose UofT as it is regarded as one of the best nursing schools in Canada and it is super close to downtown hospitals AND I've been told that hospital placement priority goes to UofT students first (not sure if this is true though).

Let me know if you have any other questions ?

Finished Casper... So glad it's over with bruh, and this year's they're distributing quartiles back to students so at least we'll know how we did. anyone else do it?

I finished last night too, how did you find it? I’m so glad we get the quartile scores at least that’s something vs previous years where you know nothing

I thought it went well but I'm not sure haha. I was cut off a few times by the timer, but after discussing my answers with my boyfriend (nurse student) he felt that I did well. How about you?

Hey guys! I'm currently in my second year at SPP if anyone has any questions about the program etc. feel free to ask or message me ?

Hi guys I have a few questions about OUAC 105. I'm in my second year btw.

1. There's a question in the Academic Background section that asks about the "Start Date and "To Date" for my post-secondary institution. I started university in Sept 2020, but what do I write for the "To Date" since I'm still in school?

2. In the Activities/Employment section, it asks me to list any ECs and stuff that I've done since high school ended, and I don't really have any due to Covid, what do I do ._.

Thank you!

Hey! I'm still in my fourth year so for the "to date" I put June 2022.

So I put that too? Even though I technically graduate in 2024?
