Seattle University Transfer BSN

Published

Hi there,

I wanted to start a thread for others who may have applied to the BSN program at Seattle University as a transfer/post-bac students to support one another throughout the admission process.

I finished my essay in the nick of time, and am now anxiously settling in for the wait.

April is so far away.

Cheers,

K

Hey all. I'm new to this thread, but wanted to check out what others were talking about. I applied for the BSN 2015 transfer program, and got my acceptance letter today! Good luck to everyone else. I'm pretty sure this is the school I'm going to choose for my future nursing journey. I'm still waiting from UW and Linfeild in Portland.

Hi guys! I'm still waiting to hear back... what do the envelopes look like this year?

Mine was in a Manila envelope. It felt dense because everything was put inside a folder, except for the acceptance letter. I almost ripped that letter out of excitement of finally receiving something. The wait is the hardest part.

I just got my acceptance letter!

Congratulations!! It's going to be an exciting and stressful journey! Lol

Congratulations to everybody who received their acceptance letters! And to the rest, don't lose hope!

For those who got their acceptance letters, I think you may now activate your SU email and account. This is good because now you can join the Seattle University Group, and the SU Nursing Transfer Cohort 2017 Group.

First, you need to join the Seattle University Group at https://www.facebook.com/groups/groupsatseattleu

You'll need a valid seattleu.edu email address to join the SU Group.

After you join, just search for Nursing Transfer Cohort 2017 and you should find the group.

After you've been granted access, you'll be able to converse and 'meet' your new classmates.

Let me know if anybody has any questions.

Congratulations to all who got accepted! Random question, but did any of you guys apply to Seattle Pacific University's nursing program or other nursing schools?

Jtrang- I didn't apply to SPU. I think they required a TEAS test in their application, which prevented me from applying. I applied for SU, UW, and Linfeild in Portland, OR.

I didn't apply.

I have to decide between SU and UMSL. Anyone have some input about the setup of the program.

I'm having a hard time deciding because UMSL is a 15 month accelerated program.

If you don't plan to work and want to get your BSN quicker, I would do the accelerated program. Otherwise, if you plan to work while going to nursing school, then I would do the traditional BSN program at SU. Good luck with your decision.

Specializes in NICU.

Does anyone know when we will hear about financial aid? I think I may email them today. That's my biggest decision factor between them and Walla Walla University (Portland)

We should get an email from the school about financial aid in June at the latest.
