I'm interested in applying to the APNI program at SU. I've been reading a lot of the forums from other years, and have found it's quite competitive! I would love to hear from other people, and their track. Or if someone is in the program and has any advice about what they like in an applicant. Thank you!

I was accepted to the PMHNP track late last week. Unfortunately, you don't hear about any scholarship information until after you start the program - which makes it tough to make financial decisions. I will need to make a decision by April 1 or 2. Whether or not I accept will depend on whether or not I hear from a third party scholarship by then.

SU is really intent on making sure that you can come independent of financial factors. You will be eligible for Federal loans and the Federal plus loans which should more than cover tuition depending on your current income (also usually have better interest rates). You can probably at least look into those now. I would contact the faculty/dean about your concerns and see if they have anything to say!

Hi Everyone,

I was waitlisted on Feb 26 for the APNI-FNP track, is anyone in the same boat or does anyone have any insight on how this works at this point? I am getting so anxious because my lease is up in a couple months and I am just waiting on this program, I know it is competitve but I also hear people do make it off the waitlist? HELPPPP

Hi everybody! I have been waitlisted for the AGNP tract. I'm curious though, to others who are waitlisted, underneath your "detail view" does your application status says under review?

YES- @mimo93! I was waitlisted as well for the APNI-FNP and interviewed 2 weeks ago. I'm super anxious to hear back but radio silence from them... I'm conflicted if I should reach out to continue to wait! ARGH

@K.elizabeth I wasn't interviewed I was only waitlisted...were you waitlisted, interviewed and then waitlisted again?????

I was waitlisted and then asked to interview! They said they would get back to me with a decision after the interview but I haven't heard anything back. I'm assuming that until they say no, we are both still on the waitlist?!? Fingers crossed for us!!!

I was reading a forum from last year and also spoke to a few people in the program saying the offer spots right up til the beginning of the program!!!!

I just emailed SU and they said that April 2 is the deadline for accepted students to put down their deposits to secure their spots. They said they will have more information on updates after that day. But, as of now we are still on the waitlist!

Can anyone tell me when the program actually stars ? I'm having a hard time finding the start date haha
