Seattle U APNI 2014

Is anyone applying to Seattle University's APNI program for summer 2014 start? I know there are a few very useful threads from past years. I'm gearing up and getting a bit anxious!

No Facebook group that I've seen.

The only progress I've had so far on the application process was finding out today that the check I wrote for the fee cleared on Friday. I was hoping for some written/electronic confirmation that the application had been received, but nothing yet (I submitted via snail mail, rec'd 27 November).

Thanks Anichka. I will start a FB page today then. If someone would like to PM me on here and I can send you my name so you can add me as a "friend." I can then start the page and add you to the page. If you've ever started a page on FB, it takes one to start, and one to add - two people total. As for the application process itself:

The message presented upon log in (in red lettering) has changed three times in the past week on my page. It now says that my application is complete and has been sent to my program for review (that's a paraphrase). Previosly, it stated that the application was incomplete, complete - and up until the past few days- was being evaluated and processed by the admissions office staff.

Unfortunately, I turned down the other programs because of a death in my family in the spring. I had sent a deposit in and everything. It just wasn't in the cards at the time.

how long did it take for you to get your University ID # after you turned in your application? I submitted mine on December 1 and haven't received any follow up email

I haven't gotten a student ID number yet either so I can't check that site. I called them this afternoon and they said it usually takes "a few weeks" to get one this time of the year - and that I should definitely be receiving it via email, even though my application was submitted hard copy.

Hi Everyone,

I have started a FB group. Search for Seattle University 2014 APNI Applicants.

For privacy reasons, I started it as a closed group so you can see it, but need to be a member to see or add posts. If you would like to be added to the group, just send a request on FB. AllNurses provides a certain anonymity and although I am not a heavy FB user, I check in there more than here. Anyway, feel free to send a request for addition in the group.

I also have no idea if it all came together, and when I called, the lady told me that they have hundreds of things to go through so she wouldnt be able to tell me anything yet. I havent received a student ID number yet either, so I cant check that site!

Also, cannot find the FB group. Would someone mind pasting in a link for the group? Thanks!

Seattle University 2014 APNI Applicants is the name of the group.

Got a letter today with my ID number (nothing by email yet from Seattle U) confirming that I applied. It doesn't tell me whether or not they have everything - in fact, it says that IF they don't, I may want to update my file to be considered for some other time.

Logged in for the first time and the message I got is:

Your file is ready for review by your intended program. Please keep in mind some programs will not review files until after the application deadline while others will review files as they become complete.

Hopefully I will get a letter soon too! Kind of annoying that it doesn't tell you if they have received everything they need, especially since they have to print a letter with an individualized student ID number anyway.

Have you received your letter from Seattle U with your ID number yet?

The waiting game (for each next step) is the hardest part of the entire process!
