Hello everyone - this is my second time applying. A month ago, I bombed the interview!

If this is your first time applying, there's a world of information from previous years, especially from the 2012 thread where we reached more than one thousand messages.

I know it's super early to start this thread, but this whole thing takes a long time to prepare and the more time we have before the deadline, the better.

I'm from the Seattle area, my background is Microbiology from the UW and I am again applying for the midwifery track.

I am also a future murse.

Something else I just noticed: You know how there are little green dots by our names if we are online? Well, right now we are all lit up like a Christmas tree. Not sure if that is good or bad, but at least we are all worrying/anticipating together at the same time. Solidarity!!!

Today Penn released decisions for their direct entry program and there were over 90 people live on the thread. Everyone's hope, dreams, encouragement, and anticipation was palpable. Seattle U is my last school to release any sort of decision or interview invitation and I am soooo looking forward to being done with the application process once and for all.

Penn has such a great program! did you apply there salinn?

Yep. I interviewed there in December and got wait listed today. Considering how incredible their program is, I was honored to even be wait listed to be honest. I'm hoping to hear good news from Seattle U otherwise I'm off to Baltimore to go to Hopkins.

Congratulations! Those are both amazing schools, it sounds like you have some great options (at least Hopkins for sure). So it sounds like SU is your top choice though?

Hey salinn, would you mind if I asked you why SU is your top option over Hopkins?

Congratulations!! It's great to have options, no matter what!

Thank you vivealegre! I'm a Seattleite and plan to practice in the Seattle area one day so I really see a lot of personal and professional value in going to school and building a network where you intend to practice. And as we discussed earlier, SU has a price tag that is easier to swallow too. Although it's kind of curious because so far I've been rejected to all my west coast schools and accepted or wait listed to all my east coast schools! Hoping SU can break my bad luck streak for the west coast!

Good luck then to you salinn! Break that streak! It appears that we may be very well destined for another restless night without invites.

Fair enough salinn! I wish you the best of luck!

Good Afternoon All,

I have about decided to bite the bullet and send an email. The only thing is...I can't believe that we haven't received any information yet... So, I hesitate to even ask. I'm starting to get worried and see my chance for an interview diminishing. Is it just me, or are others starting to wonder if maybe the small group of us that has been on here in the past few days just wont be invited? With my GPA, GRE, extracurriculars, etc., I would hope to at least get an invitation. I'm starting to get a sinking feeling. How are you others doing out there?

Please report out what you hear back from your email, Hawaii. I wanted to send another email but didn't want to seem too crazy. I can practically see SU from my office and I want to go bang on the door and be like "what's the hold up?!?!?"
