Seattle U - APNI 2012

Anyone already applying at Seattle U? Which track? I haven't finished my pre-req's, so I am probably not too competitive this year, but I am going to apply anyway. I am applying for the nurse-midwife track and my background is Microbiology (UW).

Hey guys! I just want to wish you all the best of luck with interviews. I have officially opted to decline my interview invitation, and I'm sad I won't get to meet you guys. Enjoy Seattle U! Good luck to you all. :)

Thanks myelin. Best wishes to you also.... Did you choose UCSF?

Thank you! I am deciding between Penn and UCSF. It's a really hard decision and I think I need to wait for my financial aid info to come from UCSF before I decide. I have my Penn info and while they're offering me a generous grant, the program is still outrageously expensive. I'll have to wait and see. Best of luck with Seattle U!

myelin! Congratulations! We are definitely going to miss you but we know you will be having a blast! Have tons of fun!

Any other FNP applicants on here who interviewed this week? Just wondering how it went for you :-)

Not an FNP candidate (plus my interview is next week) but if I remember correctly, the next interview date is tomorrow 2/25. The process is moving right along, how exciting! I wonder how long it will take SU to notify applicants about acceptances since we are about 1 month behind last year's timeline.

Myelin congrats on having so many great options!

Hey everyone. I have been quietly following your posts for a few weeks....sorry to not have chimed in before!

I had my interview for the FNP this past wednesday. I felt pretty good about it right after I finished up, but now wish that I had given them more information. I have no idea what they might have though.....we'll see, right!?

Welcome Murse!I'm sure you did great, there's always that feeling after of, 'did I say too much or did I not say'. Did they start by asking you to tell a little bit about yourself?

Welcome murse! Try not to think to much about it now, but easier said than done, right? I'm sure you did just fine!

Do you guys know if the interviewers are professors of the candidate's track or is it mix and match?

they actually didn't ask me to tell them about myself. I got a lot of the personal stuff across. I mostly feel that I wasn't given the chance to really go into my job and the work I do with patients. I spoke a lot of connecting with my study participants but not really about what I actually do with them. I just wish that I'd said more!

Oh ok. The idea that you are conducting studies is impressive. Which track did you apply to?
