Hey everyone!
I noticed there haven't been any recent posts about the August 2025 cohort for Seattle Children's RN Residency, so I figured I'd start a thread for anyone applying!
Feel free to share updates on your application status, interviews, offers, or tips for the process. Whether you're just submitting or already got an interview invite, it'd be great to support each other through this cycle.
Wishing the best to everyone applying!

That's awesome, congratulations! Phone screen went great today- I had similar questions of why seattle, why the unit (they only asked about my #1), and two behavioral questions. She was very nice & I agree it feels more like a conversation! At the end they scheduled me for my interview for May! Best of luck to everyone(:

Hi! I had my phone screening today, and they scheduled me for an interview in the CICU. Stay hopeful though! No news is still good news!

Thanks! And for privacy reasons I won't share the exact unit but one of the ICUs :)
redcoatrose said:Congratulations!! Could you share what the interview process was like?
Yes! Some people interviewed with two units at a time and others just one. It's a lot of situational questions that you can pull from other clinical experiences to answer.

Did you get a clinical situation question in your interview? I've heard some hospitals do them and some just do behavioral questions.
ramenpoo said:Hi Everyone I just had my phone screening - it went super well. She was really sweet an easy to talk to. They just asked some basic questions like why do you want to work here and why this specialty, also about a difficult experience you had! Afterwards I got set up with an interview date! Wishing all of you the very best!! Good luck guys I hope we make it to orientation and I see you all there 🙂
Hi! Just wanted to wish you luck on your interview! 🙂

Hey since you came internally- do you know what the policy is for dress codes for RNs? is there a particular color, what are there rules on tattoos and peircings/ hair color ect
Hi! I hope everyone's application process is going well! I was wondering if anyone has heard anything from any of the ICUs, specifically the PICU. I had a phone screening the day after the application opened and an interview for the PICU at the beginning of this week. They said I would hear back within five business days, but I have not heard anything yet, so it's not looking the most promising. Though, I am trying to stay hopeful until I hear back. If anyone has an interview coming up, I recommend reflecting on your clinical experiences and thinking of patient situations that you feel comfortable talking about. Most of the questions I was asked were behavioral questions based on my interactions with patients and other health care providers. Good luck! ❤️
ramenpoo said:Hi guys! Just updating yall I had my interview and the next day was offered a position in the NICU. Wishing you all the best luck! Would love to connect with anyone else who also got a spot for this residency season!
Congratulations on getting an offer! That is amazing! I wish you the best of luck in your residency!

Hey! I interviewed with CICU and NICU. Nicu they gave me an update on a few hours after my interview, and told me they were moving forward with other candidates- I think they filled all their spots earlier this week. CICU I had a delay hearing from, it took maybe a week, so keep your hopes up! no news is still good news, and they called to update me even when they were moving forward with other canidates so I wouldn't be too worried if you haven't heard 🙂

I was accepted for the August residency and I would also love to connect with people who are going to be in this cohort. I am also from Texas LOL. If anyone has any recommendations on where to live, I would greatly appreciate it!
